On 4 August 2020, FLTRP Editor-in-Chief Xu Jianzhong led a team to Shanghai to visit Springer Nature and Oxford University Press in China and held meetings with senior executives of the two companies. Several colleagues from different departments of FLTRP accompanied the visit.

Arnout Jacobs, President of Springer Nature in Greater China, and Zhu Huanian, General Manager of Macmillan Education in Asia received FLTRP delegation. During the meeting, the two sides looked back upon the history of cooperation between FLTRP and Springer Nature, especially the landmark projects such as "New Standard English", "Nature---The Living Record of Science", "Discover China", "Chinese Academic Library " and "Key Concepts in Chinese Thought and Culture", etc. The two teams also discussed about topics such as the impact of the epidemic on their respective business, international journal cooperation and K12 textbook promotion. Mr. Xu said that Springer Nature is one of the most important international partners of FLTRP and both sides should continue to expand cooperation on the existing basis and jointly raise the partnership to a new level.

During the meeting with Oxford University Press in China, General Manager Mr. Ding Rui, Chief Consultant Ms. Sun Henan, and Director of Educational Resources and Services Department Mr. Zhang Yufeng, introduced important publishing projects and business development plans of OUP China. The two sides had frank exchanges on major projects and recent cooperation. Editor-in-Chief Mr. Xu said that both sides agreed to actively promote comprehensive cooperation when Mr. Ding Rui visited FLTRP in May this year. He emphasized that OUP is one of the earliest and most important international partners of FLTRP. The mutual trust and tacit understanding formed by both sides for a long time are the cornerstone of the cooperation. Facing the challenges and opportunities of educational informationization, FLTRP has increased investment in digitalization from the aspects of organizational support, process optimization and personnel adjustment, and is accelerating the digital transformation. FLTRP is looking forward to expanding digital cooperation with OUP, cultivating new business, and providing digital education solutions for teachers, students and readers.
