About the Author
Ren Guoping holds K-12 teacher certificates in four majors in the United States. In 1995, he started the Chinese language program in the Parker School District in Indiana and launched the distance Chinese language program at the Indiana Teachers’ Center. He was awarded the Best Teacher Award and was the president of the Association of Chinese Language Teachers in Indiana. In 2005, he was invited to create the Chinese language teaching system from primary school to high school in the Brownsburg School District in Indiana, writing the syllabus and serving as a Chinese language teaching advisor. In 2008, he was invited by the Department of State of the United States to train Chinese teachers. In the same year, his book A Practical Guide for Chinese Teaching in the U.S. was published by Homa & Sekey Books, and the book was the designated teaching material of the Chinese Language Teacher training course of the Department of State of the United States
