About the Author
Liu Zhenyun (1958- ) is the winner of the 8th Mao Dun Literature Awards with his work One Sentence Weighs out Ten Thousand. His famous novels include Yellow Flowers in Hometown, The World in Hometown, Flour and Flower in Hometown (Four Volumes), Nonsense, Cell Phone, I Am Liu Yuejin, One Sentence Weighs out Ten Thousand, and I Am Not Pan Jinlian. His well-known medium and short novels include Tapu, Trainee Company, the workplace, Ground Covered with Chicken Feathers and the Review of 1942. Many of his works have been translated into English, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese, and some of them have also been adapted into movies and TV shows.
