The Albanian version of An Introduction to Chinese History and Culture was launched during the fair, which was originally written by Zhang Qizhi, a famous historian and historian of thoughts. Ms. Jiang Yu, Ambassador of China to Albania, Mr. Petrit Ymeri, President of the Albanian Publishers Association and President of the local press DITURIA, and Ms. He Haoyu attended the book launch. Ms. He said that using languages as a bridge, FLTRP introduces the world to China and tells China stories to the world. Undertaking the Project for Translation and Publication of Classical Works of China and Albania has opened a new chapter in the cooperation between China and Albania. It is also another example of the fulfillment of FLTRP’s mission — recording human civilization and bridging different cultures.

The Albanian version of An Introduction to Chinese History and Culture is the second achievement of the said project, the first one being the Chinese version of Mother Albania published in August 2016 at the Beijing International Book Fair. In 2015, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of China and the Albanian Publishers Association signed a memorandum of cooperation on the project, according to which the two parties will translate and publish at least 25 titles from the other party in five years. This project is also the largest publication cooperation between the two countries so far.
